What should I expect at the initial consultation?
The initial consultation is a comprehensive visit where the physician will take the time to review your full medical history, current medications, lifestyle habits, and health goals. Unlike a traditional office visit, this appointment is unhurried — typically lasting 60 to 90 minutes — so that every concern can be addressed thoroughly. You’ll leave with a clear, personalized plan for your care going forward.
Should I bring anything to the consultation?
Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of all current medications and supplements (including dosages). If you have recent lab results, imaging reports, or medical records from other providers, please bring those as well. Having this information on hand helps ensure the visit is as productive as possible.
Does your office take insurance for the Membership Fee?
The membership fee is not billed through insurance. This fee covers the testing and services performed at our office as part of your membership. You may be eligible for reimbursement through a Health Savings Account (HSA), so we encourage you to check with your HSA provider to see if your membership fee qualifies. Our team is happy to provide any documentation needed for reimbursement.
Does your office offer single lab tests?
Yes. Individual lab tests can be ordered based on your specific needs or concerns. Whether you’re looking to check a single value or monitor an ongoing condition, the physician can order targeted testing without requiring a full panel. Please reach out to the office to discuss pricing and availability.
Is my lab testing covered by health insurance?
In most cases, lab work ordered by the physician can be submitted to your health insurance plan for coverage. Coverage will depend on your specific plan, deductible, and the medical necessity of the tests ordered. Our staff can help verify your benefits beforehand so there are no surprises.
Will I see other practitioners?
Your care is led by your primary physician, and the majority of your visits will be with them directly. In certain situations, a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or other clinical team member may assist with your care. Any involvement of additional practitioners is coordinated by your physician to ensure continuity and quality.
Can my appointments be done over the phone or video conference?
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available for many types of visits, including follow-ups, medication management, and general health questions. Virtual visits offer the same personalized attention as in-office appointments, with the added convenience of connecting from home or work. Some visits may still require an in-person evaluation, and the care team will advise when that is the case.
